Read moreLocated in the Alsace, just on the French side of the border with Germany, lies the pretty town of Colmar. The centre of Colmar sits on the Lauch River, directly east of the Vosges Mountains, and is connected to the Rhine by canal. Colmar was the last town in France to be freed after the second World War, on February 2nd 1945.
