Race Across the World
Race Across the World is back for a new series! Five more duos
take on the challenge of a lifetime as they compete to travel from
the Great Wall of China to the southernmost tip of India. With just
over £1,000 per person and no smartphones, the task facing them
could seem daunting. However, over the next nine weeks, the teams
explore three fascinating, dazzling and intriguing countries.
Starting at the iconic Great Wall north of Beijing, they make
their way through the world's most populous country, uncovering the
sights of the capital and Shanghai. Heading into Nepal, they
encounter a mountainous country boasting eight of the world's 10
tallest peaks. As one of our favourite countries, we're excited to
see the contestants discover the wonders of India on their way to
the pilgrimage site of Kanniyakumari.
Last year, retired husband-and-wife duo Stephen and Viv won the
hearts and minds of viewers as they embraced the challenge,
visiting many amazing destinations enroute. Tune into BBC1 on
Wednesdays at 9pm to see who will follow in their footsteps.
