Canada has a wealth of waterways including the Bow River which passes through Banff National Park. Starting in the Rocky Mountains before winding its way through the Canadian region of Albert, it eventually meets the Oldman River and then both form the Saskatchewan River. The name 'Bow' refers to the banks of the river and the reeds that grow there, as they were used by the First Nations to create hunting bows.
