Klondike Gold Rush National Park
Day 12 - Klondike Gold Rush National Park
Following breakfast onboard this morning, you'll stop at the
goldrush town of Skagway, a town frozen in time. Part of Klondike
Gold Rush National Historical Park, Skagway has been perfectly
preserved and gives you a trip back through history. Step inside
the old saloons, especially the Red Onion Saloon where you can see
Wyatt Earp's pistol, and take a look in the old shops. See the
White Pass and Yukon Route Railway, a narrow-gauge railway that
takes you past mountains and glaciers. Visit the cemetery where
gold rush miners are buried and take a look around the Skagway
Museum and the Trail of '98 Museum.
You can also choose to add an optional excursion and try your
hand at gold panning or dogsledding, or you can delve into the
area's food on a gastronomical adventure.
