Full on but very enjoyable trip. Brilliant guides. All visits were to significant and fascinating sites. Tour guide, Anne Forrester, was great and supplied us with information for each days itinerary and brief information on each city we visited. Local tour guide,Dilip, was very knowledgable and informative. Shimla extension all worked smoothly. All hotels were good quality.

The tours were brilliant and Anne the tour manager worked really hard to make sure that we all knew what was happening when circumstances changed with timings for traffic or venue access with daily update sheets. I want to see more of India and will definitely choose Great Rail Journeys to do so.

It was a wonderful adventure! Our tour manager Anne Forrester was amazing from the 'get go' from Heathrow airport and back to Heathrow airport. She worked tirelessly for us to ensure we had the best experience possible. She was always available for questions; always available for instructions; her information sheets for each day's itinerary was so useful, giving us a brief summary of each place we were to visit; times to meet for breakfast/dinner; and also times we needed to have our cases outside our room doors ready for transfer to the next destination. Our guide Dylip was brilliant! He was so knowledgeable about the history of India, the culture and the religious. The rickshaw ride was quite an experience! And we saw a tiger on the first of our two mini safaris into Ranthambore National Park! It was stunning! But my favourite excursion was to the mainstic Tai Mahal. The wonder of the architecture and artistry of the whole building was breathtaking! Photos of it does not do it justice!
