VIA Rail's Corridor line provides a swift and easy way to travel throughout the southeast of Canada. Journeying from the country's capital, Toronto, to the city of Montreal, this 333 mile (536km) route takes just over four hours.
Taking in long stretches of pine and birch forest and skirting the edge of the Canadian Shield's sprawling farmlands, passengers have the opportunity to see Canada's immense natural beauty in the contrasting terrain, as well as rare wildlife such as bears and eagles. From the comfort of your seat, admire the views as the train winds its way around Lake Ontario and along the St Lawrence River to Montreal. Sandy beaches and clear waters give way to an expanse of limestone rock and wild looking trees, before transforming into mile upon mile of rolling pastures.
On our Canada Coast to Coast tour, we travel on the Corridor train as far as Québec, completing the journey in one day. We travel in economy class. On-board facilities include comfortable, reclining seats and large picture windows. Light meals, snacks, alcoholic beverages, and hot and cold drinks are available to purchase on the train.
