Sleeper services within Germany and into Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Italy, Belgium and France are operated by Deutsche Bahn's City Night Line network. A number of different types of coaches are used on the network, from ingenious double-decker sleepers to newly-refurbished Comfortline coaches, claimed by Deutsche Bahn to be the 'most modern sleeper car in Europe'.
All cabins on City Night Line trains are air conditioned and have a washbasin. There is a bathroom with a shower, washbasin and WC in each carriage. On some trains upgrades to cabins with en suite shower and WC are available.
All tickets include a complimentary breakfast, either brought to your cabin or served in the bistro car, depending on the route. Beds convert into seating accommodation for travel during the day.
