Traversing miles of untouched Alaskan countryside since its completion in 1923, the Alaska Railroad has been transporting both freight and passengers successfully over the last century across the remote settings of this rugged American state. Providing access to many destinations that would normally be unreachable to everything except the wildlife that roam the wilderness, the Alaska Railroad connects remote communities and gives visitors the unforgettable experience of travelling through the heart of a largely uninhabited land. We are able to admire such sweeping scenery either from the large panoramic windows that line the carriages or from the train's specially designated observation car. We also have access to the on-board dining car, allowing us to stay refreshed during each epic journey.
